About me

Photographie de Marie Munch

Hello!

My name is Marie Munch. I have been a professional translator in the fields of marketing, e-commerce and education since 2020. With an EMT-labelled (European Master’s in Translation) master’s degree in translation and extensive experience in several fields, I offer translation and review services from English into French. I will put my abilities as a linguist to work for you while keeping you up to date on the progress of your project.

I’ll be more than a service provider – I’ll be your partner.

My quality commitments

As a member of the SFT (Société française des traducteurs, French translators association), I respect my profession’s ethical code. That is why, in order to meet your expectations as regards quality, I translate exclusively into French, my native language. I adapt to your needs based on our exchanges; proper communication is therefore essential for a successful collaboration. I also guarantee the confidentiality of your documents and sensitive information.

Are you exacting? I’m meticulous.

Translation

Do you need to convert a document into French in order to start a dialogue with a French-speaking audience? I’m on it. Most of your clients and collaborators will appreciate having the option of reading in their mother tongue. Let’s work together to ensure your message will be successful in French.

Why Hire a Professional Translator?

Linguistic skills alone aren’t enough to achieve a quality translation. I put numerous other skills to work for you:

  • Knowledge of your field of activity
  • Proficiency with professional tools that help me create glossaries and follow your style guides to the letter
  • Understanding of the culture and context in which French is spoken
  • Extensive experience acquired during theoretical and practical training provided by translation professionals

Review

Once a text has been written or translated, it’s always a good idea to get a fresh set of eyes on it. Whether you need someone to correct any typos, check the quality of a translation or assure you that your message is clear, engage my services for editing (inspecting the French text) and revising (comparing the French and English texts).

Marketing

Your company’s communications reflect your corporate identity. The vocabulary and writing style in your documents will vary considerably depending on whether your content is intended for (potential) clients or for your collaborators.

Understanding the retail environment and French culture is therefore necessary. My familiarity with these areas means I can help you establish and reinforce your position in this market. I translate more than words: I translate the meaning and nuances of your message.

Document types:

Press releases, product sheets, brochures, offers, advertisements, business presentations, FAQ, websites, surveys, buyer’s guides and more.

Education

In a society that increasingly places emphasis on opening up to the world, internationalisation in establishments for minors is a key topic. I can help you develop your discourses with confidence.

Whether you’re dealing with a French school abroad, a French institution in contact with an English-speaking school, a children’s home or another facility, I can help you. Knowledge of the cultural context is especially important in this field, as educational management is different in each country. Understanding these challenges allows me to offer you the best possible assistance.

Document types:

Registration forms, newsletters, operation guide, regulations, banners, speeches, websites, surveys, informative letters and more.
